Trial Delayed For Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Killer Eric Holder

The murder trial for Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer Eric Holder was delayed during a court appearance on Tuesday. A Los Angeles judge stated that a trial was unlikely to happen for at least another three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I really don’t [know] how we can realistically expect to see this case go to trial anytime in the next 90 days or more,” said Judge Robert J. Perry. “Mr. Holder, I don’t know what to tell you except that the court system and this county are plagued by a sickness that we call the COVID virus, and the court system has been very much impacted.”

The judge suggested that Holder and his attorneys return on January 21st to see if it’s possible to set a trial date within 30 days of that date. However, the judge was not optimistic about the chances of a trial occurring that soon.

In addition to the murder charge, Holder is also facing two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. Holder has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
