Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa is suing Dr. David Sayah for negligence after allegedly pressuring her into multiple butt surgeries and botching them.
Pepa says Dr. Sayah talked her into three procedures to repair the damage she suffered from a car accident in 2018. The lawsuit claims the car accident made the biopolymer injections in her butt and hips shift, causing her discomfort.
While Dr. Sayah was originally approached last year to remove the implants altogether, Pep claims he told her she’d be upset if she went back to her natural look and convinced her to replace the implants with smaller ones.
The Hip Hop pioneer also accused the doctor of pressuring her into a different procedure that caused her butt to harden and knot up. Pepa says the complication made it difficult for her to perform on stage.
After an unsuccessful liposuction, another corrective surgery was required. She believed the implants were removed during the final surgery in February 2020, but she was still feeling pain in her butt. Later, an MRI revealed that a large amount of the silicone and dead scar tissue remained in her body.
Pepa claims she will need more surgery and will likely suffer from the injuries for the rest of her life.
