According to TMZ, comedic legend Dave Chappelle has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. Sources close to Chappelle have indicated he is currently quarantining and hasn’t experienced any symptoms up to this point.
As a result of Chappelle’s positive test, the remaining shows he was set to perform in Austin, TX, were canceled. Chappelle had already performed on Wednesday in what was supposed to be the first of five shows. Two of those nights were slated to feature Joe Rogan, but instead, the venue is now issuing refunds for the remaining sets originally planned for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Chappelle has been performing socially distanced shows in Ohio since the pandemic began. His shows have involved serious measures, including rapid tests for audience members and regular testing for himself and his crew.
