According to reports, a Texas dad is dead after confronting his daughter’s bully.
Brandon Curtis, 35, reportedly went to the home of a teen boy who was cyberbullying his daughter in hopes of ending the harassment. Upon arrival, Curtis confronted the teen accused of bullying his daughter, and things became violent.
Authorities say a 20-year-old man claiming to be the teen boy’s older brother pulled out his gun in self-defense and shot Curtis after he struck the teen. However, Curtis’s family doesn’t buy that he got physical with the teen.
“When he left from here, my husband went to go resolve the issue. He wanted to go speak to the parent,” said Curtis’s wife, Shantal Harris. “I know my husband. My husband is not like that,” she said, adding, “For them to claim self-defense, it’s sickening.”
“My brother would never put a hand on a child,” said his sister Jeran Perkins. “We want justice.”
