According to reports, three people were shot, and two FBI agents died after a child pornography raid in south Florida.
Special Agents and career sex crimes investigators Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger were killed while executing a warrant against a man wanted on child sex charges. FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement on Tuesday, “Special Agent Alfin and Special Agent Schwartzenberger exemplified heroism today in defense of their country.”
“The FBI will always honor their ultimate sacrifice and will be forever grateful for their bravery,” he continued.
Both agents were killed during Tuesday morning’s raid, with three other agents wounded in the exchange. Authorities say the suspect is believed to have been shot and killed after barricading himself in the apartment.
