Hit rap group City Girls are putting their rap earnings to work, by investing in television and content.
Group members Yung Miami and JT are teaming with “Insecure” creator Issa Rae, as executive producers of a new series on HBO called “Rap Sh*t.”
According to reports, the series centers around two estranged high school friends, who team up to form a rap duo.
The new series has already found a home on HBO Max, which has ordered eight episodes of the comedy.
“Rap Sh*t” is being written by Issa Rae and “Insecure” writer Syreeta Singleton, who also serves as the showrunner for the comedy.

JT’s Instagram was flooded with congratulatory messages from Megan Thee Stallion, Kelly Rowland, Chloe X Halle, Lori Harvey, and others after she shared the news.
Production on “Rap Sh*t” is supposed to start this summer.
