Rowdy Rebel announced that Bobby Shmurda will be released from prison next week. Rebel, who was recently released from prison after serving six years, took to Instagram on Wednesday to update fans on his friend’s release date.
“SIX DAYS [LEFT] Then all the joy gone wash away the pain, I promise you brother,” Rebel’s wrote in the caption.
The recent update confirms earlier reports that Bobby Shmurda was granted a conditional release from prison scheduled for February 23, 2021. If released, the 26-year-old will be under parole-like supervision until the maximum prison sentence is reached in December.
Bobby Shmurda’s mother, Leslie Pollard, responded to the report by writing in a social media post, “I am counting down just wishing we could run straight to February right quick. The come back [will] be Epic!!! I can’t wait to hug my child it had been almost a year anxiety is getting the best of me.”
Bobby Shmurda is currently being held at New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility, where he’s serving seven-year sentence for conspiracy and weapons possession.
