Update 03/30/2021 11:27am:
Malik Beasley and his estranged wife Montana Yao have been in divorce proceedings following a scandal that involved Beasley and Larsa Pippen last year. Since then, the two have gone to court to begin their process to split, and now a judge has ruled against temporary spousal support for Yao.
While in a Minnesota court this past Monday (March 29), Yao reportedly requested $5,000 per month in temporary spousal support from Beasley, as well as $8,000 per month in child support for Makai—their 2-year-old son. Yao was denied the “temporary spousal maintenance,” but the judge granted $6,500 per month for temporary child support.
Along with being denied temporary spousal support, Yao had her request for a $15,000 advance from their marital estate deferred. Her $20,000 request to pay her attorney’s fees was denied as well. Stay tuned for more updates.

According to reports, Montana Yao, the wife of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley, has filed for divorce amid the controversy of Malik being pictured with Larsa Pippen. A source close to Yao told E! News, “Montana filed for a divorce the day she saw the photos,” adding, “Montana never cheated, and it’s not in her character. She’s not dating anybody. She’s a family person. She’s focusing on taking care of her son with her parents. They are quarantining together. Her son is her first priority.”
After the photos surfaced of Malik and Larsa, reports began circulating, claiming that Larsa was under the impression that Malik and Montana were having marital issues and already on the verge of divorce. The source stated that Larsa was “fully aware” of Malik still being married, but they developed a bond “over their pending divorces.” The source told Hollywood Unlocked, Larsa “thought Malik was in the process of ending his marriage and she wasn’t doing anything wrong by hanging out with him,” adding, “Larsa and Malik are still in touch and are planning to see each other again when the news blows over.”
