Update: DaBaby Reportedly Told Police He Fired Gun in Miami Shooting

New details are emerging after it was revealed that Miami Beach Police were questioning DaBaby regarding a shooting on Monday (May 31) that injured two people, one critically.

The incident happened outside of Prime 112 in Miami Beach, and according to reporter Andy Slater, DaBaby told police that he did fire off at least one round, adding that it was in self-defense. Slater’s tweet read, “SLATER SCOOP: DaBaby fired off at least one round outside Prime 112 in Miami Beach, police sources say. The rapper told cops he did it in self-defense. A senior law enforcement officer tells me that rapper ‘Wisdom’ is also being questioned in connection with the shooting.”

The Miami Beach Police Department reported that DaBaby was questioned over a shooting that took place on Monday (May 31) in Miami Beach, which left two people injured, one critically.

It’s unclear how DaBaby is connected to the situation, which happened outside of popular South Beach steakhouse Prime 112. Officer Ernesto Rodriguez told The New York Daily News, “I am able to confirm one of the many individuals currently being interviewed is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk,” DaBaby’s birth name. He added, “At this time, no arrests have been made.”
