Malik Beasley Begins Serving 120-Day Sentence for Prior Threats of Violence

In the midst of marital turmoil, Minnesota Timberwolves’ wingman Malik Beasley has started a 120-day jail sentence stemming from a gun case last year.

According to TMZ, officials confirmed Beasley began his sentence on Tuesday. Beasley was initially charged with felony threats of violence and felony drug possession due to the September 2020 incident. Beasley pointed a gun at a family parked outside his home, forcing the frightened family to call the police. When authorities arrived at Beasley’s residence, they found marijuana in the home, prompting the drug possession charge.

However, Beasley struck a deal where he’d plead guilty to the threats charge in exchange for the possession charge to be dropped. Ultimately, Beasley was given a 120-day jail sentence set to begin May 26 but was pushed to June 1.
