No Limit Rapper Mac Granted Parole After Serving 21 Years in Prison

No Limit rapper McKinley “Mac” Phipps Jr. has been granted parole after Louisiana’s

Governor granted him clemency in April. Although his release date has not been

confirmed, Mac will be released after serving 21 years of a 30-year sentence.

“Today marks the end of a long fight for justice,” said his wife, Angelique Phipps. “Today

we are looking towards a brighter future for our family. We are grateful to all of those

who have never wavered in their support of Mac’s innocence.”

Mac served prison time for the murder of a teen fan. The rapper was 22-years-old at the

time of his arrest and maintained his innocence throughout his incarceration. In

addition, various individuals came forward and supported Mac’s claims.

The board members voted unanimously in favor of granting Mac parole. Look above to
