South Carolina Jail Guard Caught Smuggling Pill-Filled Rice Krispies Treats

According to reports, a South Carolina corrections officer was caught trying to smuggle

Rice Krispies Treats into the facility filled with pills.

Marcy T. Shafer, 43, was nabbed after attempting to sneak in the drug-laden snacks into

the Camille Griffin Graham Correctional Institution in Richland County. In the pictures

released by the South Carolina Department of Corrections, there are visible orange and

oval-shaped pills sprinkled throughout the treats.

Authorities believe the pills are amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. Shafer admitted

to the crime and was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to

distribute, furnishing prisoners with contraband, and misconduct in the office.
