Teen Sentenced 7 Years in Carjacking That Killed UberEats Driver


According to reports, a 14-year-old girl will remain in juvenile detention for the next

seven years for her role in the carjacking turned murder of a Washington D.C.-area

UberEats driver.

The seven-year sentence was the maximum sentence prosecutors sought after the March

2021 incident. As a result of her guilty plea to second-degree murder last month, the

teen had all other charges dropped.

Another 15-year-old girl was also involved in the attempted carjacking pleaded guilty to

felony murder back in May. She will also remain in juvenile detention until she turns 21.
