Reports surfaced noting that Harvey Weinstein has been extradited to Los Angeles to
face more charges. Weinstein was previously indicted for 11 sexual assault charges that
reportedly involved 5 women. This comes after numerous women came forward to
expose the disgraced movie producer for alleged crimes he committed against them.
Weinstein was convicted this past year in New York and sentenced to 23 years in prison.
However, Weinstein still has to face charges on the West Coast.
A lawyer for Weinstein—Mark Werksman, said the producer’s legal team was given
notice that Weinstein was being extradited on Tuesday and that his flight was going
straight to Los Angeles so that he can possibly make a court appearance on Wednesday.
A rep for Weinstein noted that they tried to negotiate a deal to stop extradition, but the
L.A County District Attorney did not wait on a judge’s ruling. Stay tuned for more

Previously, disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein was in the news after it was
revealed that he appealed his conviction for rape, claiming the trial held was unfair.

Weinstein argued against the producer being taken to Los Angeles for an indictment,
saying “humanitarian” reasons are why Weinstein’s health has been on the decline.
Attorney Norman Effman said Weinstein is technically blind at this point, and that he’s
lost four teeth. As a result, Weinstein’s attorneys are pushing for him to stay in a
medical unit in New Unit, where he’s currently serving out a sentence for his rape
