Bobby Shmurda Describes ‘Mixed Emotions’ to Being Released

Desus & Mero recently caught up with Bobby Shmurda during a recent episode of their

Showtime series. During the sit-down, the Brooklyn rapper described the “mixed

emotions” he’s felt since getting released after serving over six years in prison.

“Honestly, it’s mixed emotions,” Bobby Shmurda said. “Some days is work, and some

days it’s like, ‘Yo, I’m home.’ You know when you can’t believe you’re home? I done came

home before but this time it was like, I’m home. You know what I’m saying? I’m home.”

Bobby Shmurda continued by stating his previous prison sentence made him smarter,

noting that his legal troubles usually resulted from him acting on impulse.

“When you come home, you gotta see everything and what’s what,” he added. “What’s

this? What’s that? That’s what’s really been going on. I’m trying to see what’s this and

what’s that before you move cause being in jail just made me smarter. I used to move off

a lot of impulse.”

He also spoke on his upcoming music and revealed he’s been working with the Migos.

This past weekend, Bobby Shmurda debuted new music during his performance at

Rolling Loud.
