NBA superstar Kyrie Irving has reportedly parted ways with his agent at Roc Nation
Sports after less than two years. NBA analyst Jordan Schultz appeared on Thursday’s
episode of ESPN’s First Take to break the news on the same day as the 2021 NBA Draft.
“Kyrie Irving is gonna be firing Roc Nation, which is a pretty big deal,” Schultz said.
“He’s now going through his second agent in less than two years and it just happened.
I’m not sure exactly what it means from a strategic standpoint, but it does matter when
you think about the grand scheme of Draft Day, the Nets, and what Kyrie Irving wants to
Schultz followed up his statement on Twitter and added that Roc Nation Sports has
about ten days to salvage its relationship with the Brooklyn Nets guard.
“As I just reported live on @FirstTake, Kyrie Irving is parting ways with Roc Nation –
whom he signed with in 2019,” he wrote. “There will be a week-and-a-half or so for Roc
to try and salvage the partnership with Irving.”
