Love & Hip Hop Miami’s Prince Appears to Cry in Court, Facing D.V. & Kidnapping Charges

Former “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” star Prince was arrested for a domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend. While the incident reportedly occurred on July 22, Prince — whose real name is Christopher Michael Harty — was arrested on Wednesday, August 11.

Authorities claim Prince slammed the alleged victim to the ground and punched her in the mouth after she tossed his shoes at him while dropping them off at his apartment. Prince is also accused of striking her in the back of the head and preventing her from leaving the residence by dragging her by her hair.

The victim was able to escape Prince’s grasp and exit the apartment before neighbors helped her use the stairwell to go to another floor. When she tried to use the elevator, Prince was already inside and tried dragging her inside before she broke away while neighbors intervened.

The girlfriend was able to call the police once she made it to the downstairs lobby. Law enforcement claims she suffered minor scratches and bruises on her lip, neck, chest, arms, and legs as a result of the alleged attack. Cops also claim Prince and victim had been dating since May 2020.

When Prince appeared in court Thursday morning to face his charges, he appeared to be wiping tears away as he was charged with kidnapping and battery. He was also ordered held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
