The community is invited to celebrate the life of Rashad

Mullins, also known as “D.J. Certified,” this Saturday,

September 11.

D.J. Certified was a beloved disk jockey at KCEP, 88.1,

the People’s Station.

Sadly, he passed away unexpectedly last week. He was 41

years old.

D.J. Certified was deeply devoted to the community,

bringing joy to so many through his music.

He worked at KCEP for more than a decade.

The celebration of life service will be at New Jerusalem

Worship Center off Owens and Martin Luther King

Boulevard.

The viewing will be at noon, followed by the service at 1

p.m., which will be live-streamed on 88.1.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help his

daughter, a graduating senior at Las Vegas Academy.

Those who knew him best say he adored his daughter and

called him the girl dad of the century. Las Vegas mourns

the loss of D.J. Certified. May he Rest in Peace. We send

our prayers out to his family as well as the Power 88.1

family.
