Detroit Rapper Peezy Released After 18-Month Prison Sentence for Racketeering

Detroit rapper Peezy has been released from prison following an 18-month sentence for racketeering conspiracy charges. He turned himself in during the summer of 2019, after catching the case in 2016. The U.S. Attorney’s office indicted Peezy and 10 other members of the 6 Mile Chedda Grove gang. Two of the men, Edwin Mills and Carlo Wilson, were previously charged with murder in aid of racketeering for shootings that occurred at the Troester Market in Detroit on Dec. 1, 2015, resulting in two deaths and serious injuries to children.
