R. Kelly Wants Herpes-Related Charges Dropped From Federal Case

R. Kelly’s federal sex crimes case has started in New York, and according to reports, the singer filed legal documents asking the court to toss out charges for knowingly exposing sexual partners to herpes. Kelly and his team claim the legislature didn’t include herpes in the law, saying it is “not an acute, bacterial venereal disease.” This comes after Kelly was accused of exposing two people to an STD in March 2020.
